riots, protests, & race

r

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this:

Locals (of all colors) in cities protesting together peacefully.

Things begin to spiral out of control and get a bit chaotic.

It ends up being discovered and reported that most of the arrests from the arson and vandalism are of people who don’t live in that city. What also comes to surface is a bunch of evidence of people instigating chaos with underlying motives that are not aligned with the reasons of the protesting.

There’s a lot of conversations regarding another narrative happening beneath the surface.

Frankly, I believe there’s all kinds of shenanigans going on alongside the actual pure angst that is being expressed.

That being said….

The conversation on race and injustice in the United States is relevant, valid, and necessary. The ministry of reconciliation is still what we are called to.

To despise the conversation and the work that is needed (both in the spirit realm and the earth realm) is to despise what God deeply cares about. We could do a WHOLE Bible study on it.

There’s a shaking going on in many ways.

If you’re more politically-minded than Kingdom minded, your perspective on the myriad of “beneath the surface” agendas going on right now will be marred and incomplete. Don’t be so myopic that you miss the fullness. Look through Heaven’s lens.

The Kingdom of God is a government that is neither a democracy nor a republic. It’s God’s rule, His reign, His way of being and doing things…He’s in charge and He rules with love, grace, righteousness, truth, mercy, and justice.

The body of Christ is desperately in need of greater revelation of our *primary* citizenship. Praying that the collective eyes of our understanding are enlightened so that we can display authentic Kingdom leadership and influence in a way that reveals the power and goodness of the God we serve.

Hi, I’m Shae Bynes. I created this blog in order to capture some of the things God has placed on my heart concerning a “Kingdom Over Everything” life.

In other words, living out of Kingdom identity and citizenship – looking at everything through Heaven’s lens.
