Pundits

P

I was asked about my favorite pundits. My answer was that I don’t have any.

I was then asked who I liked to listen to as it relates to government. My answer was that as it relates to government and politics I will listen to pundits with a variety of perspectives.

I also said I’m yet to hear a pundit that maintained a primarily Kingdom lens.

Frankly I don’t think that mass media has any interest or incentive to consistently share an expert voice that isn’t fundamentally either entangled in a partisan political mindset or primarily in pursuit of fame (or sometimes both).

I don’t watch news on TV, but I do read it and also catch video and audio clips on social media that are shared. I don’t shape my perspectives by pundits, even if they say they are Christian. I take in information on topics of interest, research where I need to, and ask the Holy Spirit to help me process from a Kingdom lens and align with the Father’s heart. Hmmm…I guess my favorite pundit is Holy Spirit, but that would’ve sounded deep. It’s the truth anyhow.

In other words, living out of Kingdom identity and citizenship – looking at everything through Heaven’s lens.
