Confession:
I’ve been eager to unpack the Kingdom reality that “race” as we talk about it is a social and political construction of man and discuss all the implications of that which are impacting us still today.
I’ve been wanting to talk about how God created one race (the human race) and many ethnos (nations – ethnicities) and how through Him we are all intentionally and wonderfully made with a diversity and richness of cultures – all shades of beautiful!
I seriously want to be talking about this, but I’ve been held back from doing so for 3 weeks now. Yesterday morning on my daily walk, I asked God why because I know that it’s His heart.
What I heard in my heart is that while that is clearly a Kingdom truth (His truth), it’s one that many only have “head knowledge” of and are using it to avoid dealing with other aspects of His truth.
You see, it’s easy to cry out “We’re all one in God’s eyes!” but it can’t be head knowledge. It must be revelation knowledge that transforms our hearts, minds, and expresses itself practically in how we engage with one another and with the world around us.
So…I guess I’ll just keep dealing with the tougher conversations.
The Kingdom of God is God’s rule, His reign, His way of being and doing things…He’s in charge and He rules with love, grace, righteousness, truth, mercy, and justice.
