The moment you say “You can’t call yourself a [born again believer / Christian] and vote for [name of your favorite party or candidate]” you’ve stepped OUT of a primary Kingdom lens and into the exaltation of your own opinion.
Sharing concerns about the issues facing the nation is good and provides food for thought, prayerful consideration, and fruitful conversation.
However, once you make a judgment about someone’s salvation over politics, you’ve lost integrity in your communication. Not only have you isolated conversation to only those who agree with you, but you’ve also missed the heart of the Father.
