kingdom driven, not mass media driven

k

“Mass Media” as an industry surely understands the power of storytelling and vision casting – it can be used by powers of both good and evil.

Here’s how I manage to stay Kingdom driven rather than mass media driven:

1) Refuse to limit my reading of “news” to only one news source due to political agenda bias. I scan the headlines across multiple sources, national and local. I don’t watch on TV at all because I don’t have the ability to scan and would be subject to what the station wants to highlight.

2) I ask God what He wants me to know, see, and pray over. I trust the sense I get from the Holy Spirit without overthinking it.

3) Whenever I’m actually reading an article that stands out to me, I ask God what I should know and/or do about what I’m reading. I want His wisdom over the words I’m reading on the page.

4) I try not to pass around any news shared on social media unless I’m led to and before I ever do so, I’ll check the date.

In other words, living out of Kingdom identity and citizenship – looking at everything through Heaven’s lens.
